Did You Give up on Your Goals Already? Get back on Track with These Easy Tips!

Did You Give up on Your Goals Already?  Get back on Track with These Easy Tips!

How are those New Year’s Goals coming along? Last month I wrote an article called “6 Easy Steps to Manifest Your Goals with Ease”. If you haven’t already read that, I would suggest you start there.

Now, if you’re like most people you get excited about a new year and new possibilities. Many people set their goals and even begin taking steps toward these goals. After a couple of weeks or a month, many people give up. Maybe you slid back into your old ways and decided it’s too hard, I can’t do it or any number of things we tell ourselves. That’s just your old habits and ego-mind talking. Don’t worry about it!

If you started on your goals and desires, congratulate yourself now. You had a plan, you wanted change and you started something new. To backslide or give up after a short time is normal. When we’re trying to institute a new pattern we’re trying to override the old neuropathways in our brain, which already have pretty deep grooves by now. To bypass and create new pathways, you need to keep at it. When you give your vision to something daily and take consistent baby steps toward your dreams you’re creating the new grooves. And the more you do this the stronger the new pathways get and the old ones start to fade away. At some point these new things will feel normal and natural and then manifesting with ease becomes the new normal.

So, go back and look at your goals. Do they get you excited when you look at them? If so, good, you’re on the right track. If not, decide to pursue only those goals that by completing them would make a big impact on your life and make you feel really good!

Then write down these goals in the following manner – write them in present tense, such as “I am so happy and grateful that I’ve lost 20 pounds and feel so fit and healthy!” Now spend at least one minute really feeling how that manifestation would feel! See how your body looks, see what clothes you wearing and how you look and feel in them. What kind of activities are you doing in this new healthy, fit and slim body? Use all your senses. When you’re done with this goal, move on to the next one.

You need only do this once a day. If you want to speed things up I would suggest 3 times a day – first thing in the morning (even before you get out of bed), last thing before sleep and sometime in the middle of the day. If you have 3 goals, that’s only 9 minutes out of your day. Isn’t it worth it?

When you’re feeling good (we’ll talk more about this later), write down 2 or 3 things that you can move you in the direction of your dreams. Maybe it’s adding 1 vegetable to your diet per day. Maybe it’s adding 15 minutes of exercise to your schedule 3 times this week. Maybe it’s learning one little thing that can move you forward in the new business you’re trying to start.

Remember, it’s not about totally changing your entire life right now. It’s about baby steps. When you’re consistently taking small steps toward your goal while in a positive vibration, the Universe rises up to meet you and helps you in ways you can’t imagine.

If you don’t start seeing change right away, so what? Just keep believing they’re on their way. Don’t get discouraged. Just keep moving forward.

Everyday, write down everything that’s going right in your life or about things you feel good about accomplishing. Only take score on the good that happens. Forget about the bad or about what’s not here yet. Appreciate everything and everyone you can. The vibration of appreciation is similar to the vibration of love and is a match to all of your dreams and goals. Feel it as much as possible.

If you get discouraged, let that be OK. Don’t fight it. Just find something better to focus on and keep moving forward. You’re on a trip and you have to go the miles to get there. Don’t forget to have fun along the way!

Remember to keep your eye on your vision, the completion of your goal. What is it that you want and why do you want it? What is the “thing” it will give you and how will it make you feel? Ask yourself several times a day “What do I want?”. As you give focus to what you want you will continually raise your vibration and then you will be a match to your desires and dreams and they must come to you!

Lastly, keep asking yourself how you can feel good right now and do that! Maybe it’s as simple as remembering a wonderful event in your life or imagining yourself at the beach. Feeling good as much as humanly possible is the key to manifesting all things.
